Bud Light Latin Music Series

Nine-time Grammy winner Eddie Palmieri, the Spanish Harlem-born granddaddy of salsa and Latin jazz piano, “at once the Miles Davis and James Brown of the genre,” (Minneapolis City Pages) returns to Celebrate Brooklyn with an orchestra in tow to ignite the dance floor. “This is music so vital and joyous…a totally celebratory sound, bouncing, shuffling, weaving and grooving along on a beat so mesmeric and soul-wrenchingly right that you want it to go on forever.” (Time Out London) The multi-lingual tropical grooves of the enchanting Banda Magda start the evening off on a sunny note.

“Diablo Love” is a fantastical love story featuring live music that re-imagines songs made famous by American Blues singer, guitarist and harmonica player, Howlin' Wolf along with original compositions by Tomás Doncker. This production provides audiences with a masterful live soundtrack of Blues/Soul music and sets the stage for a dynamic performance.

What would you do for love? In the dark alleys of Hell's Kitchen, Smoke, a lost soul, finds himself face to face with Mephi, the demon devil he made a deal with two years prior. She's there to collect his soul. In order to spare his own horrific demise, Smoke must find a willing person to swap spots with him, and as a result comes upon Emma, a fledgling Harlem Gospel singer from a troubled background with big dreams of fame. As Emma works through the trials and tribulations of erecting a career with her group, Smoke appears with big promises and a plan for fame and fortune. The two embark on a joint quest to achieve both of their missions, and what once began as a task for Smoke to find his replacement quickly takes a complicated turn as he must decide between unconditional love and Diablo love.

**Note: This production contains strong language**
