Silent disco or silent rave is an event where people dance to music from wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcasted via a radio transmitter. While using the supplied headphones, participants will engage in free fitness class demos, including Zumba, kickboxing, dance fitness, and more! After working out, a dance party will end the night with light refreshments, raffles, and giveaways.

On the weekend before Valentine’s Day, celebrate your love of Central Park’s sculptures at the sixth annual Ice Festival. Witness ice-carving artists from Okamoto Studio use electric chain saws, chisels, and picks to transform more than 6,000 pounds of ice into a glistening replica of one of Central Park’s most beloved statues.

What is a Silent Disco?

It's a dance party with headphones; you choose the music. Starting at 5:00 p.m., three live DJs take the stage at the same time, playing the best of the 80s, early 90s, and Top 40 hits. You choose the channel with your favorite music genre and dance the night away. The glowing, color-coded headsets show which music other partygoers are listening to, so you can dance along with your friends.

Headphones will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, and quantities are limited. Open to all ages. No bag/coat check available. An ID or credit card is required to check out a pair of headphones. ID will be given back when headphones are returned. In the unlikely event that you lose the headphones, there is a $100 replacement fee on site.

What to Wear

Baby, it's cold outside! Dress warmly; the event is entirely outdoors.
