New York City is home to an amazing abundance of wildlife. Our Urban Park Rangers will guide you to the best wildlife-viewing spots in the urban jungle. We offer birding programs throughout the year.

This program will focus on the different species of waterfowl that reside in our parks during the colder winter months.

Bring your own binoculars or ask a Ranger to borrow a pair. Birding programs are appropriate for all skill levels and beginners are welcome.

The Hudson River Valley hosts an impressive diversity of bird species, even during the winter months. Explore Wave Hill’s tranquil gardens and woodlands with naturalist Gabriel Willow to observe birds in their winter habitats. Birders of all levels welcome. Ages 10 and older are welcome with an adult. Severe weather cancels.

This event is free with admission to the grounds. NYC Audubon members enjoy two-for-one admission to the grounds.
