Our Urban Park Rangers will be your guides to the solar system, discussing the science, history, and folklore of the universe. Astronomy programs feature the use of telescopes and binoculars to observe specific astronomical events.

Using a reflecting telescope, the Urban Park Rangers will show you where the 6 Apollo missions that landed on the moon actually touched down. Explore the Mare Tranquillitatis (Sea of Tranquility) of Apollo 11 and the Apennine Mountains of Apollo 15, among others. Dive to the depths of craters named for Archimedes, Plato, and Copernicus.
