Group registration for TreesCount! 2015 has ended.

TreesCount! Partner groups are the heart of the 2015 Street Tree Census. Partner groups commit to mapping a specific neighborhood, recruiting voluntreers and hosting training and mapping events across the five boroughs.

How Your Group Can Participate

NYC Parks is looking to involve community groups, corporate groups, and volunteer organizations in setting up a street tree mapping event in communities where more voluntreers are needed! We will provide all the materials needed to map street trees including measuring wheels, tablets for entering tree data, circumference measuring tapes, and tree identification guides and will work with your group to select a location for mapping.

Each mapping event is three hours long and includes training in our mapping methodology. Your group will learn about tree species and health, how to spot signs of stewardship, and biodiversity while collecting important data on street trees that will contribute to overall forestry maintenance. Please provide your contact information in the form below so you can get involved in the biggest effort to inventory New York City's street tree population to date!
