TreesCount! Independent Mapping

Thanks for mapping with us at this year's TreesCount! street tree census! Independent mappers like you have collected tree data in almost every neighborhood in the city.

Keep Mapping This Winter

Did you enjoy mapping trees on your own and want to keep going? We encourage you to join us this winter as we continue our goal to count and map every street tree on every block in New York City.

Our trees look different in the winter. With most of the leaves gone, it may be difficult for you to identify tree species. To help you out, we will be offering winter tree identification and condition training for Independent Mappers who are interested in continuing to map this winter. Please email treescount@parks.nyc.gov to be notified of winter training opportunities.

Are You Eligible for a Reward?
