Adult and Senior Water Exercise

Water Exercise offers a stress-free time to swim, improve health and fitness by participating in an instructor-led water exercise class, and socialize with others, while enjoying the benefits of the water at our indoor pools.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff, all swim programs, including Water Exercise classes, have been cancelled for the summer.

Only 15 pools are re-opening for the summer 2020 season, and pool capacity has been reduced to provide more social distancing for our patrons. Pool hours will remain the same: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sessions may be split further at the discretion of the pool managers to accommodate more patrons. Cost

Free with an NYC Parks Recreation Center Membership. All participants must be an NYC Parks recreation center member and present their membership ID upon entering the facility.

Metropolitan Recreation Center

Adult and Senior Water Exercise (18 years and older):

and Sundays: noon - 1:00 p.m.

Manhattan

Asser Levy Recreation Center

Gertrude Ederle Recreation Center

Senior Water Exercise (62 years and older):

and Wednesdays: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Roy Wilkins Recreation Center

Senior Water Exercise (62 years and older) and Senior Learn to Swim:
Mondays and Wednesdays: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
and Fridays: 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
