10/06 Fall Stewardship Day- South Bronx Street Tree Care

Volunteer with the Stewardship Team at one of our Annual Fall Stewardship Days! Throughout October we are holding special volunteers events focused on restoring natural areas and caring for street trees across the city. Join us as we journey out to NYC's streets and natural areas to experience and steward the beautiful landscapes of our city!

Meeting Location: Meeting at E156 St and Tinton Ave

Description: Come work with NYC Parks Stewardship to care for local street trees! Volunteers will learn how to aerate, cultivate, mulch, and identify street trees. They will also learn about the important roles street trees play in New York City. Volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and closed toe shoes. They are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
