Description: Join us as we restore saltwater marsh in Sunset Cove Park with a volunteer plug planting! Urban wetlands provide a variety of benefits including improved water quality and storm water retention. They also serve as critical habitat for native wildlife!
Please note, volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes. We also encourage volunteers to bring their own water bottles. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
This event was brought to you in collaboration with NYC Parks, the American Littoral Society, Jamaica Bay- Rockaway Parks Conservancy, Jamaica Bay Ecowatchers and the Broad Channel Civic Association.
