Description: Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to plant trees in the forest of Forest Park! Trees provide so many benefits to New Yorkers such as improved air and water quality, reduced pollution, and lower energy costs. Volunteers will be trained in proper planting techniques and will also learn how to make iNaturalist observations. If you do not know how to use iNaturalist, arrive 15 minutes early and we will show you how! Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Please be sure to wear a face mask and bring your own water bottle to this event. Groups larger than 8, please contact maria.amin@parks.nyc.gov before registering. Registrants are encouraged to download the iNaturalist app onto their mobile device, prior to the event for an interactive experience
