Description: Volunteer with the Stewardship Team and the Eastern Queens Alliance to protect the forested areas in Idlewild Park! Volunteers will help us plant trees, remove debris and safely remove invasive plants in order to restore the forest and create a healthier ecosystem. NYC Parks staff will lead volunteers on a short hike to the work site and demonstrate all tasks for the day. Please come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Plan to wear a face mask and bring your own water bottle to this event. Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
