Hollis Avenue Congregational Church: Sit and Be Fit

Shape Up NYC is a free, drop-in fitness program with locations across the five boroughs. You do not need to be a member of a recreation center in order to attend a class, though you must bring a lock for classes held at recreation centers. Our fitness instructors know how to make fitness fun!

Description: Easy to follow moves work the body and mind. Primarily developed for senior citizens or those who have ailments (temporary or long-standing) that prohibit them from standing for long periods of time. This class offers exercises in building endurance, improving balance, developing flexibility and strengthening muscles throughout the body. All exercises are demonstrated in a sitting or standing position. Some students stand for the entire class. Instructor: Geri
