NYC Parks Junior Knicks & Junior Liberty Winter Basketball League

Program Dates: January 20, 2017 – April 16, 2017

NYC Parks and the Madison Square Garden Company are teaming up to present the Junior Knicks and Junior Liberty Basketball League. These free, competitive leagues feature citywide teams open to boys and girls, ages eight through 17.

The NYC Parks Junior Knicks and Junior Liberty League uses the game of basketball to unite boys and girls from across New York City, while providing a positive, structured environment for self-improvement, personal growth, and community development. This year, more than 150 teams will participate in 8-11, 12-14, and 15-17 age divisions across the five boroughs. Teams will play intra-borough round robin games weekly and then compete in intra-borough tournaments.

How to Join

Players will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for spots across the city. To be considered for the league, submit your information using our online registration system. A coordinator will contact you if there is a spot open at one of our sites. Because demand is high, we cannot guarantee a spot in the program.
