Forest and Highland Park Registration
Forest and Highland Parks are managed by the Park Administration in partnership with The Forest Park Trust, Inc. With assistance from The Friends of Forest Park, we have been engaging volunteers to help with small to large scale maintenance and landscape restorations projects.
Forest Park, the third largest park in Queens, is 543 acres. It features a bandshell, picnic area, pond, seven playgrounds, skate park, golf course, athletic courts and fields, a track, dog run and Ranger Visitor Center. Its 165-acre oak forest features majestic trees with nine miles of hiking and equestrian trails.
Highland Park, which borders Brooklyn and Queens, is 198 acres and features two playgrounds, six ball fields, picnic and volleyball areas, tennis, multipurpose sports fields, a community garden and the Ridgewood Reservoir.
