Purchase or Renew A Tennis Permit

A permit is needed to use an outdoor court from the first Saturday of April to the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

Tennis Permit Cost

Full-season permits for adults ages 18 to 61 cost $100. Adults with a valid IDNYC card can receive 10 percent off their full-season permit fee. Permits for seniors ages 62 and older cost $20. Permits for kids and teens younger than 18 years old cost $10.

This year, for the first time, we are offering the chance to buy a new tennis permit online. If you've purchased a tennis permit in the past, you can easily renew your permit online.

Are you renewing a permit purchased at Paragon Sports?

Please let us know if you previously purchased your tennis permit from Paragon Sports on 867 Broadway or from an NYC Parks location.

Proof Of Identification

Our tennis permit prices vary by age. Please upload a photo of the permit holder's photo ID showing proof of age to verify the applicant's tennis permit price. You may use any form of identification, however IDNYC cardholders receive a discount.

IDNYC Cardholder Discount

IDNYC is a free identification card for all New York City residents. Adult (18-61 years old) tennis permit holders who have a valid IDNYC card will receive a 10 percent discount on new permits and renewals. To obtain the 10 percent discount, you must upload a photo or a scan of the front of your IDNYC card as your proof of identification below.

Permit Photo

Please upload a clear, passport-style photo of the permit holder. This photo will be placed on the permit holder's tennis permit.

Add-on Purchases

Add-on purchases are optional and not required to purchase or renew a tennis permit.

Single-Play Permits

Planning to bring guests with you? They'll need a permit, too. You can purchase a single-play permit for one hour of play for use throughout the tennis season. Single-Play permits cost $15.

Central and Prospect Park-Specific Options

Central Park and Prospect Park offer additional amenities available to full-season permit holders for purchase. 

Central Park Locker Rental

You may rent a locker for the season at the Central Park Tennis Courts. Rentals are $20.00.

Specific Locker Number Request (Optional)

Please review the Locker Room Floor Plan to pick your first, second, and third choice for a locker.

Advance Reservation Tickets

You can purchase advance reservation tickets to reserve a court at Central Park or Prospect Park at a future date. Advance reservation tickets cost $15 per court, per hour and must be redeemed by phone or in person.

Please allow up to two weeks to receive your online purchases by mail. If you're looking to play sooner, please apply in person at a permit location
