Join NYC Parks and the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival for free films in the park! The Art of Brooklyn Film Festival is the only independent, international film festival in the world dedicated to Brooklyn’s indie film scene.

Celebrate independent film at this movie screening and celebration featuring DJ Sugarfree BK, raffles, giveaways, and shorts from the Alumni of the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival at sundown. These films represent some of the most exciting new filmmakers in the Brooklyn indie film scene, including:

Operation Proposal
Documentary, 6 Min.
Directed by Emily Harrold
This delightful film follows 'spy' photographer Vlad Leto, as he travels the streets of NYC, capturing some of the most romantic moments of a person's life — wedding proposals — without blowing his cover. 

The Brooklyn Burrow Show: Episode 1
Documentary Series, 3 min
Directed by Bradford Devins
Episode 1 of The Brooklyn Burrow shows how Milan's own Iena Cruz deviates from his typical activism & realism focused paintings and instead embarks on a unique challenge of its own - creating the first 3D Stay Puft Marshmallow Man mural (interactive with 3D glasses). 

Cross Training

Candy Love

Step into the 16-bit world of Atlanta based music duo WHOAA. This video is sure to take you back in time and give you a sweet rush of nostalgia under an uplifting positive music bed.

Rubber Ducky

Brooklyn Raga Massive: Terry Riley in C
Music, 8 min
Directed by Ian Cinco
Brooklyn Raga Massive (BRM) is a collective of forward-thinking musicians rooted in Indian classical music. This film showcases the members of the collective in their element. From morning rituals, riding the subway and eating dhosas, to meeting in the park, playing music and backyard bonfires, we see BRM in a heartwarming slice of daily life.

You should arrive before 8:00 p.m. to get a spot for the movie screenings. Please bring your own picnic blanket or chair. Food is permitted, but alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
