Morris-Jumel Mansion is proud to partner with performers, Jeffries Thaiss and Eric Scott Anthony, to present a fast-paced, imaginative adaptation of Charles Dickens' timeless holiday classic! Suitable for all ages, this two-man performance merges Dickens' brilliant original text with both traditional and unexpected Christmas music, as well as sound effects.
Actor, Jeffries Thaiss, performs all of the roles - Scrooge, Tiny Tim, the Ghost of Marley, and all your other favorite characters - just as Dickens, himself, performed it in 1853! Broadway veteran, actor Eric Scott Anthony accompanies all the action with traditional Christmas carols along with Victorian Era sound effects. The elegant stage is the festively decorated Main Hall of the Morris-Jumel Mansion! The talented, and versatile performers will sweep you into the holiday season, and the 19th Century, all presented in the intimate setting of Manhattan’s oldest residence.
Light refreshments will be served in the French Parlor. 75 minutes; no intermission.
