Love the beach? So do nesting shorebirds, like the piping plover. Share your creative talents to create conservation chalk art on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk.
Artwork will be temporary and used to educate visitors about nesting shorebirds and tips to coexist. Art supplies will be provided. Volunteers will be given a conservation message or fun fact to add their artistic flair to.
Volunteers should bring water, sunscreen, and a towel to sit on while working on the ground.
Space is limited, please use the link to pre-register. Registrants will be notified via email of cancellations due to rain.
