Join us for a fun, interactive Family Art Workshop inspired by Mad. Sq. Art’s current exhibition, Red, Yellow and Blue by Orly Genger.
Get a head start on your summer reading by creating your very own one-of-a-kind woven bookmark for your favorite book. Using simple materials like paper, pipe cleaners, and ribbons, we’ll explore basic techniques of weaving, color, and form, much like the woven waves and hills found in Orly Genger’s large-scale exhibition. Comprised of an astounding 1.4 million feet of hand-crocheted nautical rope, the exhibition will be on view through September 8, 2013.
We will host two sessions of the workshop from 10AM-12PM and 1PM-3PM. The workshop is first-come, first-served.
**Please note that Adult Supervision is required for all Family Art Workshop activities.
Look for the white MSPC tent by the yellow lawn located by the NYPD Officer Moira Ann Smith Playground, and the 25th Street and Madison Avenue entrance.
