Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to protect natural areas in Marine Park! Volunteers will learn how to identify and safely remove invasive plants in order to help create a healthier ecosystem.

Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. Please bring your own water bottle to this event.

Please note: Space is limited and registration is required. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.

Know Before You Go

BeachesRockaway Beach and Boardwalk

To ensure the safety of workers and park users, access to Rockaway Beach will be closed from Beach 86th to Beach 110th Streets for approximately six weeks beginning April 8, 2019, while the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins sand dredging operations. The surf beach from Beach 87th to Beach 91st Streets will be closed. Please use the nearby surf beaches at Beach 69th Street and Beach 111th Street.
