Saturday, May 26, 2018

10:30 a.m.12:00 p.m.

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Join Paul Sadowski at Payson Center as he presents a slide presentation on The Role of Fungi in Forest Succession in the Post-Glacial Periods. Then follow Paul on an exploration hike of the forest to seek out mushrooms introduced in the lecture. Given the evanescent nature of fungi, it is difficult to know what species will be fruiting during the tour. Inwood Hill Park may be hiding fungi species not yet discovered!

Space is limited. RSVP is required; please email RSVP@FortTryonParkTrust.org to register.

This program is supported by the Greenacre Foundation and the Fort Tryon Park Trust.
