The Phil Young Experience
"Gathering of the Harlem Hip"
Featuring Tony-Award winning vocalist Lillias White

A much-loved figure in the uptown community, Phil Young has played with legendary figures like Bobby "Blue" Bland, Jimi Hendrix, George Benson, Art Farmer, and Dizzy Gillespie. This special event features the full lineup of his "Experience" band, with special guests.

Registration
Please email manhattan.acf@parks.nyc.gov to register, and note that the concert size is limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day of the concert.

Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we're offering outdoor programs with limited attendance so that you can have a safe and enjoyable time in parks. Based on New York State guidance for sports and recreation during COVID-19, we’ve put protocols into place to keep our participants and staff safe and healthy. We're asking everyone to help us stay safe:

  • Stay home if you're sick
  • Maintain six feet of physical distance between households
  • Wear a face covering
  • Wash your hands

Additionally, we encourage participants to bring their own hand sanitizer to our programming.

Note: Some programs may be modified, rescheduled, or cancelled due to weather, health, or safety concerns.
