Children's Garden Planting Day and Puppet Show

Make your mark on Fort Tryon Park and join the horticulture staff to beautify the Broadway Promenade near Arden Place. Plant a diverse array of plant types to improve the park's appearance and provide year-round beauty for the neighborhood to enjoy. After planting, head to Anne Loftus Playground to enjoy a free puppet show, Cinderella Samba, provided by the City Parks Foundation PuppetMobile!

Wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Please RSVP by emailing RSVP@FortTryonParkTrust.org by May 12. 

Children must remain supervised by a parent or caregiver for the duration of the event.

The path and stairs in Fort Tryon Park that lead to the Cloisters are currently closed for repairs. The construction project is in the bidding cycle. Railings and lighting will be installed as part of the project, which is anticipated to go into construction in the fall of 2016.
