Learn to identify and value the flora and fauna of the eastern slope of Fort Tryon Park with Leslie Day, author of Field Guide to the Street Trees of New York City and Field Guide to the Natural World of New York City. The Broadway side of Fort Tryon Park has benefitted from the planting of over 45,000 plants, trees and shrubs by NYC Parks and the Fort Tryon Park Trust over the past 6 years. Come learn more about them and how they create a wonderful environment for an abundance of fauna in the park!
Please bring binoculars. Please do not bring your pets.
Leslie Day's Nature Walks are generously supported by the Greenacre Foundation and the Fort Tryon Park Trust.
Take the A train to 190th Street and take the tunnel to Bennett Avenue. Take a left and walk one block to Fort Tryon's Broadway/Bennett entrance.
