How did people take ‘selfies’ before cameras or smartphones? With a painted portrait, of course!
Visit the Dyckman Farmhouse for a special viewing of the 19th century portrait of Jacob Dyckman. Learn about the importance of portraits with a reading of the story Little Girl in a Red Dress. Young artists will then consider how they wish to be remembered and create a self-portrait.
Recommended for children age 6 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations by email are required.
