Reforestation Day - Site One
Saturday, October 19, 2019
10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Forest Park, the third largest park in Queens, needs your help in keeping its 171 acre forest healthy and thriving.
Volunteer with the Natural Areas Conservancy and NYC Parks to plant native trees and shrubs in three locations as part of a re-forestation project.
Trees provide so many benefits to New Yorkers, such as improved air and water quality, reduced pollution, and lower energy costs. Volunteers will be trained in proper planting techniques.
Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty.
Please bring your own water bottle and snack for this event.
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperon.
Registration for this event is required by October 16.
To register, please visit the Forest Park – Registration Page.
This event is sponsored by NYC Parks, Natural Areas Conservancy and The Forest Park Trust, Inc.
Meeting location is Metropolitan Avenue and Forest Park Drive
