Celebrate Earth Day with Prospect Park Alliance!

Earth Day Celebration, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.,m.
Join Prospect Park Alliance and community partners for our annual Earth Day celebration at the Prospect Park Audubon Center! Enjoy fun-filled, family-friendly programming that celebrates the environment including catch-and-release fishing, raptor demonstrations, volunteer cleanups, citizen science activities, arts and craft, and of course nature games!

Participating community partners include Brooklyn Bird Club, Brooklyn Fishing Club, New York City Audubon, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the Urban Park Rangers.

Fishing Lessons, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This fun catch-and-release fishing program is presented by The Department of Environmental

Conservation’s Bureau of Fisheries (DEC). In this program, participants will learn the basics of fishing in freshwater and Prospect Park Lake. Bait, tackle, instruction, and fishing license will be provided.
