Show off your skills at the Senior Games!
NYC Parks invites all New Yorkers aged 50 and older to compete in the third annual Senior Games! Challenge your friends, go for the Gold, and become a part of a community of seniors keeping fit while having fun at friendly competitions with their peers.
The Senior Games will take place from May 7 through 11, 2018 in Brooklyn and Staten Island at Brownsville Recreation Center, Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex, Funfest New York (Bowling Center), and the Royal Palm Shuffleboard Club.
Join the Competition
You can compete as an individual or team in:
- Board Games: Pinochle, Manipulation Card Game
- Board Games: Bid Whist, Kings in the Corner
- Board Games: Dominoes, Five Hand Spades
- Table Tennis
- Track and Field
- Board Games: Oh Hell Card Game
We're kicking off the Senior Games with a 24-mile Torch Relay through Brooklyn on May 7, 2018!
The relay kicks off in Williamsburg, heads to South Brooklyn, then ends in Brownsville. Participants will run from one NYC Parks recreation center to the next, then hand off the torch to a new group of runners. Invite your friends and family to come cheer you on! There will be cheer stations at each of the seven recreation centers along the route. View a map of the Torch Relay's Route
Prizes and Giveaways
Medals will be given to the first-, second-, and third-place winners of each competition. Medaling will take place at the end of each event. We'll have giveaways and t-shirts for participants. Light refreshments will be provided to all participants at each activity.
Register for the Senior Games
Participation is FREE with a recreation center membership. A limited number of free spots are available for non-members. Register today! You can register online or at a recreation center near you. Registration for the Senior Games ends on April 27. Registration for the Torch Relay ends on April 21.
