The St. John's Turn 2 Afterschool Program is available at no cost for children ages 6-12. A structured schedule of activities has been implemented that offer the children the following: homework assistance, arts and crafts projects, performing arts, fitness and life skills workshops, and seasonal special events. In addition, the children are provided with daily healthy snacks.

The Afterschool Program begins in mid-September and continues through to the end of June. Children must be registered for the program. Parents/guardians must complete a registration package and submit a copy of their child's birth certificate and updated medical form.

The Garden Kitchen Lab is a backyard-to-table program that teaches agriculture and seasonal eating. The children are encouraged to love food grown well; learn about the impact of agriculture on the environment and on their health; teach them how to be sustainable starting with their choices on what to eat, eat responsibly and learn where your food comes from and who grows it. Throughout the growing season the children document their garden activities and work on digital projects that help them reflect on what they learn in the garden using the Computer Resource Center’s MACs and photo cameras.
