AccessibilityPools in Recreation Centers
When you join a recreation center with a pool, you'll have access to year-round swimming and the chance to attend free aquatics programs such as Learn to Swim. Your membership will give you access to use every recreation center in the city, including all 12 indoor pools.
New York City’s recreation centers and indoor pools remain closed to the general public until further notice to provide COVID-19 related services as well as free childcare options for children who are scheduled for blended learning. To learn more or to apply for the childcare program, please visit the New York City Department of Education’s Learning Bridges program page.
Once we reopen, NYC Parks will extend all existing recreation center memberships to cover the length of time we are closed to the general public.
Becoming a Member
Annual memberships for recreation centers with pools cost $150 for adults, and $25 for seniors (ages 62 and older) and young adults (ages 18 through 24). Membership is free for anyone under the age of 18. As of June 1, 2016, memberships will cost $25 for veterans and people with disabilities.
