American Sycamore at Alice Austen Park

Located in the meadow south of Alice Austen House, the American Sycamore is believed to have been growing around 1840 when John Austen, the Alice Asuten's grandfather purchased and expanded the house. Despite being scarred by lightning, the tree lives on.
