Summer Sports Experience
Summer Sports Experience is an instructional youth program that teaches sports skills. Our knowledgeable Parks staff train kids in sports like baseball, basketball, flag football, futsal, lacrosse, soccer, Speedminton, track, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball. The program covers basic and more advanced techniques.
Summer Sports Experience is recommended for children ages 8-14. It is a drop-in program, so participants can stop by for one or more sessions, but kids who stay for the whole program will get the most benefit from it. Registration is recommended. Please contact the coordinator listed in the event listing.
This program has been enhanced with funding from the mayor's Community Parks Initiative. For more information on our parks equity program, visit the Community Parks Initiative page.
Please note: We recommend that guardians accompany children participating in this program. Summer Sports Experience is not a child care program and NYC Parks is not responsible for the well-being of attendees.
