Olmsted 200
April 26, 2022 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903), an innovative landscape architect who co-designed some of New York City's most beloved parks, including Central Park, Prospect Park, Morningside Park, and Fort Greene Park. Today Olmsted is known for pioneering the field of landscape architecture, and many of his ideas now serve as the foundation for contemporary landscape design.
Join us in celebrating the 200th birthday and legacy of Frederick Law Olmsted through our Arsenal Gallery exhibition, Urban Park Ranger tours, and other celebrations in our parks.
