Sign up to receive a free rain barrel with an installation kit and instructions from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection & the Office of Councilmember Shahana Hanif. Rain barrels can connect directly to your property’s gutter or downspout to capture and store the rainwater that falls on your rooftop.

You must be present at the 4th Street Plaza (between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue) on August 21 between 9:00 a.m. – Noon to accept your requested rain barrel.
