Arts, Culture & Fun: Arthur Green and the Green Machine
Thursday, July 8, 2021
3:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
Join us for an outdoor jazz concert with Arthur Green and the Green Machine
Saxophonist Arthur Green has a deep, soulful tone. With roots in Virginia and then playing trumpet in the Navy Band, he has come into his own in NYC under the tutelage of King Curtis, Rodney Kendricks and Barry Harris. Arthur leads his own band The Green Machine, featuring an appealing blend of jazz, funk, blues and R&B that is all his own.
Presented in partnership with the Jazz Foundation of America, with partial support from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register, and note that the concert size is limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day of the concert.
Please note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we're offering outdoor programs with limited attendance so that you can have a safe and enjoyable time in parks. We're asking everyone to help us stay safe:
- Stay home if you're sick
- Maintain six feet of physical distance between households
- Wear a face covering
- Wash your hands
Additionally, we encourage participants to bring their own hand sanitizer to our programming.
Note: Some programs may be modified, rescheduled, or cancelled due to weather, health, or safety concerns.
