Join NYC Parks' Arts, Culture & Fun for a Halloween art-making celebration and create bats, ghosts, and pumpkins. Artist Ian Gabriel will lead the workshop. All ages welcome!

Ian Gabriel is a comic book artist, illustrator, and grad of SVA. His work focuses on ink work, watercolor, and architecture.

Seeds of the League is the Art Students League's community program.

The celebration will be held outdoors. For your comfort, bring a mat, blanket, or folding chair to sit on. Feel free to bring your own pens, pencils and paper. Some supplies will be provided.

Please email to register, and note that the class size is limited to 25 participants and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis on the day of the workshop. The workshop will be cancelled in case of rain.

Please note: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we're offering outdoor programs with limited attendance so that you can have a safe and enjoyable time in parks. We’ve put protocols into place to keep our participants and staff safe and healthy. We're asking everyone to help us stay safe:

  • Stay home if you're sick
  • Maintain six feet of physical distance between households
  • Wear a face covering
  • Wash your hands

Additionally, we encourage participants to bring their own hand sanitizer to our programming.

Note: Some programs may be modified, rescheduled, or cancelled due to weather, health, or safety concerns.
