History of the Holidays
Sunday, December 8, 2019
11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
This event repeats every week on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 12/7/2019 and 1/5/2020.
Van Cortlandt House will be decorated in holiday finery from early December through early January.
Included with regular Museum admission, this annual display features a glimpse into 18th-century celebrations of some familiar and not-so-familiar winter holidays. Self-guided tours will highlight scenes of Saint Nicholas Day, New Year's Day, and Twelfth Night celebrations throughout the house.
A special self-guided children's and family eye-spy tour will also be available.
We are located in Van Cortlandt Park, 500 feet from Broadway.
$5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, free for children under 12. Admission by donation on Wednesdays.
