“Breathe with Me” is a public art action for the world, conceived and executed by Jeppe Hein with ART 2030. This large-scale public participatory artwork invites audiences to paint their own individual “breath.” Every breath will take the form of painted blue parallel lines on the artworks’ canvas walls: each line for an exhale.

“Breathe with Me” will occur in New York during the week of the UN Climate Action Summit, and it also invites people to participate virtually around the world. The artwork speaks to many urgent issues of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Global Goals – from good health to strong communities and climate action. This three-day public art event will take place in Central Park on September 25 and September 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on September 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
