Open Garden Day NYC: Egg Workshop
Saturday, July 20, 2019

Ever wonder where eggs come from? It takes a chicken 26 hours to make just one half of your daily breakfast! We'll review the production of an egg starting from inside the chicken's body and trace it all the way through to your plate. If you have your own backyard chickens or are curious about keeping a flock, we'll also review the factors that influence the rate and quality of your chickens' eggs.
There will be real-life examples of egg norms and oddities and participants will be able to learn about how Imani Chickens lay eggs in distinctive white, pink, brown, blue, and green colors.
