Join Row New York for free rowing lessons in celebration of City of Water Day! Rowing is for everybody! Open to kids 14 and up, no swimming ability required.

Attendees will be able to spend time on their neighborhood waterway — Paerdegat Basin. Visitors will be able to see and experience their neighborhood from the basin. They’ll learn the fundamentals of rowing, a sport that is not always accessible to the public. We hope to promote waterside access and bring NYC residents to their waterways in a fun, family-friendly way.

Visitors will first learn to row on rowing machines then row on the water on stable barges.
