About the artist: Ramirez is an educator who teaches ceramics with a focus on organic forms which reference the earth's atmosphere, soil strata, and woodgrain patterns. Ceramics can be seen as a material, like those in his installations, which is derived naturally from the earth. He currently teaches college level at Marymount Manhattan College, and studio level at Greenwich House Pottery and Mouse Ceramic Studio.

In partnership with the Art Students League. The Art Students League of New York, founded in 1875, is one of America’s premier art schools.
