Arts, Culture & Fun: Hike and Paint

Take a short hike with an Urban Park Ranger and collect natural objects of interest then meet with a trained watercolor teaching artist and we'll put those discoveries on paper, turning nature into art.

Art supplies will be provided and beginners are welcome.

About the teaching artist: Roberto Reynoso is a fine arts graduate with over 15 years of work experience in collaboration with foundations and local school art projects through New York Cares. Roberto completed undergraduate studies at Pratt Institute (AAS) and the School of Visual Arts (BFA), and graduate studies at Academy of Arts College, San Francisco (MFA).

1:00 p.m. - Meet at the Forest Park Visitor Center 

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Ranger leads a short hike

1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Watercolor workshop outdoors at the Forest Park Visitor Center

Please note: Registration is required to participate in this program. You can register online at nyc.gov/parks/rangers/register. Registration will open on April 15.
