Arts, Culture & Fun: Mandala Workshop
Friday, May 10, 2019
6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Join us for a Mandala Workshop as part of a Friday Art Workshop Series.
Art Making As Meditation art making can be a meditative practice that helps us focus and find new meaning and peace in the world. In this workshop, we will paint and draw mandalas on heavy paper. Then with simple construction techniques, we will come together to combine the group's work into a large sculpture. Throughout the process, we will be accompanied by improvisational music to help inspire us and unite the participants together into a creative flow state.
All levels of skill are welcome and all inspiration is invited. Materials and abundant encouragement are included.
About the teaching artist: Max Cohen’s background is in visual arts and the development of unique forms of meditative practice. He graduated from Vassar College, has attended the School of Visual Arts and Columbia University, and is currently studying at The Art Students League.
