Rainwater harvesting is the ancient practice of capturing and storing rainwater for later use. School gardens are an excellent place to practice rainwater harvesting to water plants, educate students about water and its role in our natural systems, and help to conserve a precious and limited resource.

This workshop will cover the basics of rainwater harvesting and how a system of any shape and size can be designed for your school garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to map out a design for a rainwater harvesting system and get feedback from garden design experts. Each attendee will also get a copy of GrowNYC’s Rainwater Harvesting Guide.

RSVP online.
