Winter Family Programs: Bugging Out
Saturday, January 19, 2019
11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.
Bugs are all around us! Come explore the world of bugs by examining the parts of a squirmy earthworm, building your own insect, and looking for bug homes in the Woodland Garden.
Please dress for the weather. Recommended for four to 10 year-olds, but all are welcome to attend.
Registration required. Ticket includes one child. Please purchase separate tickets for multiple children. These are not drop-off programs; each child must be accompanied by one adult. Drop-ins are welcome upon availability.
This is part of the Winter Family Programs Saturday series. Sign up for a single session or all four for a discounted package of $40 per child. Bring the whole family and experience winter’s splendor with indoor garden activities and an outdoor nature walk.
Spend the day at the Garden! From noon to 1:00 p.mm. on each day of Winter Family Programs, join us for a community art project celebrating Lunar New Year! Drop in to work on collaborative sculptures to celebrate the Year of the Pig. The project will be displayed in the Garden for QBG’s Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 9 and for the remainder of February. Please note: this family-friendly activity involves paper maché and paint.
