Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Evergreens come in many shapes and sizes, but they all have a unique chemistry that prevents their leaves from freezing and breaking open in the winter weather. Come test the chemical, structural, and biological properties of ancient evergreen species. We’ll be serving homemade, sweet white pine tea during our class.

Children will explore their inner scientist with this fun-filled, hands-on experimenting class. They will be challenged to form a hypothesis based on the materials of the day, then draw conclusions based on their experimentations. Watch things bubble, pop, move, and fizz, change, spread, grow and twist. Join us in answering the question “What happens if....”

For ages 7-10.
