In honor of Latin American Cultural Week, we are partnering with the uptown organization PAMAR (Pan American Art Research). Mexican artist Cynthia Granados Posada will engage with the uptown community of Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood to create and present collective ritual performances about letting go and a trilogy of participatory performances about love and migration.
Beginning on November 13 and ending with a community culminating event on November 17, the workshop will connect this year’s theme of LACW and #MeToo in art, to the life and work of the painter and jeweler, Annette Nancarrow, who lived both in NY and Mexico and has not been properly recognized as an artist. To learn more about her remarkable life and art please visit annettenancarrow.com.
