Climate Justice Teach-In

Saturday, October 27, 2018

11:00 a.m.2:00 p.m.

Join us at an exciting teach-in led by leaders of UPROSE, one of the longest-standing climate justice organizations in New York, and a nationally-recognized leader in environmental justice more broadly. At the teach-in, you will learn more about the movement and how you can be part of the solution.

Afterward, we’ll walk together to artist Justin Brice Guariglia’s Climate Signals installation in Sunset Park and discuss the role of art in addressing climate injustice. Activities in the Park will include creating your own climate signal and painting a “climate tile,” which will be displayed as a part of a citywide mosaic illustrating New Yorkers’ reflections on climate change. Pizza, refreshments, and music will be provided.

This event is presented in partnership with UPROSE. It is free and open to the public.

Please RSVP on Eventbrite.
