Saturday, August 11, 2018

10:00 a.m.3:00 p.m.

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Join us for this bike tour, and roll up to chicken coops in Harlem and the South Bronx that were founded and currently tended to by young people in nearby schools and programs. We will learn about unique features of the coops as well as challenges and how each group overcame them as well as quick snapshots of the steps involved in starting a chicken coop in a school garden or community garden.

The tour will begin at the coop at Harlem Grown and then finish in the Bronx.  For those who do not want to bike, there will be a bus available. Seating will be limited - please make it clear if you would like to take the bus when you RSVP.
