PASS: Harsh Digital Two-Second Silence is an improvised performance by artist Tess Dworman that utilizes movement, acting, and sound. The performers move through different textural moods and qualities that formulate moments of meaning without reconciling the value or importance of any one occurrence over the next. In doing this work, Dworman aims to conjure a residual feeling that honors the ongoing-ness of life. This work-in-development is being commissioned by the Chocolate Factory Theater and will be presented there in 2019.

About PASS: Performing Arts Salon Saturdays
PASS is a curated performance series presented on the last Saturday of the month at the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art (Buildings C & G). The salon’s focus is on original works in performing arts (music, dance, theater, and multi-media) in different stages of development. When possible, work is developed in residence at Snug Harbor. Each PASS has a reception and a post-performance artist talk moderated by curator Melissa West, Snug Harbor’s Vice President of Curation and Production.
